In September 2007, Animals Australia did a new investigation in the Middle East, where Australian and non-Australian animals were subjected to extreme cruelty, careless handling and brutal slaughter. Sheep were shoved into bar boots, brutally handled, and then left to bleed a painful death at a slaughterhouse while temperatures were regularly up to 40°C.
